Gardaí at Pearse Street Garda Station investigating a number of robberies from the person and assaults causing harm, all of which occurred in the Dublin 2 area over the summer of 2014.
Have carried out a number of searches in Dublin and in Co Louth at 7.30am on 20th August 2014. Gardaí arrested 10 people for offences ranging from robberies from the person, assaults to thefts.
The ten arrested persons are all Irish and range in ages from 14 years to 19 years and are made up of 7 males and 3 females. They are detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Pearse Street, Kevin Street, Kilmainham, Terenure, Sundrive Road, Irishtown, Mountjoy and Store Street Garda Stations. All can be detained for a maximum period of 24 hours.
A total of 70 Gardaí from Pearse Steet, Kevin Stret, Kilmainham, Terenure, Rathmines, Irishtown, Donnybrook, Mountjoy, Store Street, Fitzgibbon Street and Bridewell Garda Stations took part in the operation.
