Gardai in Drogheda investigating a suspicious fire at a house in Drogheda, Co. Louth on 16th August 2014 have charged a 26 year old female in connection with the incident.
She was charged this evening (the 18th August) and she will appear before Trim District Court, Co Meath at 11am on the 19th August 2014.

Gardai in Drogheda investigating a suspicious fire at a house in Drogheda Co. Louth on 16th August 2014 have arrested a fourth person, a female(26years). She was arrested this evening the 17th of August in Drogheda and is being detained at Drogheda Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
The 3 males arrested on the 16th of August in relation to this incident were released this evening the 17th without charge.

Gardai in Drogheda investigating a suspicious fire at a house in Drogheda Co. Louth on 16th August 2014 have arrested three males. The three males ( 2 in their 30's and 1 in his 40's) were arrested this evening the 16th August in Drogheda and are being detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended at Drogheda Garda station.
The injured lady was transferred earlier today to St James Hospital, Dublin 8 her condition is described as serious.

Gardaí are appealing for information following a fire at a house in Drogheda Co. Louth on 16th August 2014.
At approximately 0100hrs Gardaí and Emergency Services were called to a house fire at Cord Road, Drogheda. It’s understood a female aged in her 70s was asleep in the house when the fire broke out. When the alarm was raised a male aged in his 30s entered the house and managed to evacuate the female to safety. The fire was brought under control and both the male and female were taken from the scene by Ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. (The condition of the female is believed to be serious, the injuries to the male are non life threatening.)
The scene of the incident is preserved for a forensic and technical examination. An incident room has been established at Drogheda Garda Station and investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses. They are appealing in particular to anyone who was in the Cord Road, Oulster’s Lane, Sandyford Tce., Thomas St. or Scarlet St. areas of Drogheda between 0030hrs and 0100hrs to contact them.
