Gardai in Tipperary Town are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on Rosanna Road, Tipperary Town on the 31st July 2014.
The collision occurred shortly before 8pm when a van collided with a male child (2 years old) on Rosanna Road. Gardai from Tipperary Town were alerted and administered CPR. An ambulance arrived on scene and the injured boy was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital Accident and Emergency Department at Clonmel. He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. The driver and passenger (both male) of the van were uninjured.
The road has been closed for a Forensic collision examination.
