Gardaí at Galway are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Two Mile Ditch, Tuam Road, Galway at approximately 12.00hrs today (Thursday August 7th 2014).
A woman in her early 70’s was fatally injured when the car she was driving collided with another car at the above location (only occupant). The driver and five occupants (including three children) of the other car were taken to Galway University Hospital where their injuries are described as non life threatening.
The road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since reopened.
