Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Schull, Co Cork, which occurred at 4pm on 30th August 2014. The incident involved two cars and a mini-bus.
A woman in her 60s, the driver of a car, was fatally injured. Her body has been taken to Cork University Hospital (CUH). The female driver of the mini-bus was removed to CUH, but is not thought to be seriously injured. There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash. The female driver of the second car was not injured.
The road in the area remains closed and Garda forensic collision investigators are examining the scene.
Gardaí are seeking witnesses to the crash and anyone with information is asked to contact Bantry Garda Station on 027 20860.
