Gardai in Mountjoy investigating a fatal stabbing on the North Strand, Dublin 1 on 17th August 2014 have charged a 63 year old male in connection with the incident.
He will appear before Court no. 1 of the Criminal Courts of Justice at 4pm on the 20th August 2014.

Gardaí at Mountjoy investigating the murder of David Sheridan who received serious injuries on the 17th August 2014 at North Strand, Dublin 1 have arrested a 63 year old male.
The male was arrested this morning the 19th August in Dublin and is being detained at Mountjoy Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

The 45 year old man injured in a stabbing incident on the North Strand last night was pronounced dead at the Mater Misericordise University Hospital this morning (18/7/14).
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who was at the location on the North Strand between 10.15pm and 10.45pm last night (17/8/14)to contact the incident room at Mountjoy Garda Station on 01- 666 8600. the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
