As part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Galway Region, Gardaí from Maam and Clifden assisted by the Regional Support Unit seized cannabis plants with a value of €42,500, (pending analysis), following a number of planned searches of premises in the Maam area, Co Gallway, this morning, Friday 4th April 2014.
A female, 29 years, was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Clifton Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Investigations are ongoing.
