Gardaí are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Harvey Place, New Ross, County Wexford, this evening Saturday 19th April 2014 at approximately 7pm.
A female passenger, 63 years, was fatally injured when the vehicle she was travelling in struck a wall. She was pronounced dead at scene. Her body was taken to Wexford General Hospital where a post mortem is to be arranged.
The male driver, 59 years, was also brought to Wexford General Hospital with non serious injuries.
The scene was preserved to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened.
Gardaí have made an arrest in connection with this investigation.
