Gardaí in Roscrea are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the Birr Rd, Roscrea on the 21st April 2014.
The collision occurred at approximately 1.55 am when a car collided with a wall. The two male occupants(18yrs and 16yrs) of the car were seriously injured in the collision. A doctor pronounced the driver(18yrs) dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Limerick Regional Hospital where a post mortem will be held at a later stage.
The male passenger(16yrs) was seriously injured and taken to Limerick Regional hospital.
The scene was preserved to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Examination and the road diversions are in place.
