As part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Kerry area, Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit, Tralee seized cannabis herb to the value of €75,000 (pending analysis) following the planned search of a premises in Cul Doire, Tralee, County Kerry on Monday 31st March 2014 at approximately 7.45pm.
A female, 26 years, was arrested at scene and detained at Tralee Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. She was later released from Garda custody having been charged with offences in connection with this investigation and is due to appear before Tralee District Court tomorrow morning, Wednesday 2nd April 2014 at 10.30am.
Investigations are ongoing.
