Drug seizure and arrest in Rathdrum, Wicklow on the 17/4/14

Gardai targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Wicklow area have seized cannabis plants, cannabis herb and made an arrest.

As part of an intelligence led operation gardai from Bray carried out a planned search of a property at Ballard, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow earlier this morning.  
 

During the search cannabis herb and cannabis plants with a combined estimated street value of up to €37,000 (pending analysis) was seized.
 

A male in his 50’s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Bray Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
