Two me are due to appear before a special sitting of Ardee District Court this afternoon 6th April at 2.30pm, charged in relation to a drug seizure on the 5th April. The men, one in his 30 and the other in his 50s, were arrested yesterday.
Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped a car in the Drogheda area on 4th April. A 28 year old male was arrested and a quantity of drugs seized.
As part of a follow up operation yesterday 5th April a second car was stopped and an apartment searched. Two further males were arrested (one in 30’s and one in 50’s) and a further quantity of drugs seized.
In total cannabis herb, cannabis plants, cocaine and heroin with an estimated street value in excess of 1 million euro (pending analysis) was seized.
A 28 year old male appeared before a Special Sitting of Ardee District Court at 3pm yesterday 5th April charged in connection with this seizure.
