Gardaí have arrested two males following an overnight incident in Sligo.
At approximately 3.30am Gardaí were called to the scene of a disturbance at a house in Avondale, Sligo town. A male in 20's was injured during the incident was taken by ambulance to Sligo General Hospital with serious facial injuries. (His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.) Two males aged in their early 20's were arrested in connection with the incident and are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Sligo Garda Station.
An examination of the scene is ongoing and investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
