As part of ongoing investigations by the Garda National Drugs Unit and the Organised Crime Unit, two cars were stopped and searched in Dublin City on Friday the 13th Sept 2013.
During the course of the search Gardai discovered 3 kilos of heroin with an approximate street value of €450,000 (subject to analysis).
Two males(61 and 28yrs) were arrested and conveyed to Finglas Garda station where they were detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The two males were charged in connection with the seizure and are due to appear before Court No 2 CCJ, Parkgate St at 4.30pm on the 14th Sept 2013.
