Gardaí have arrested three people following an armed robbery at a filling station in Dublin this evening 19th September 2013.
The incident happened at a filling station on Clonsilla Road at 9pm. A car pulled up at the filling station driven by a woman. Two men wearing balaclavas and armed with a knife and a handgun exited the car. They entered the filling station threatened staff and stole a quantity of cash.
As the men exited the shop they were intercepted by Gardaí who were on patrol in the area. All three were arrested and a firearm, knife and cash were recovered.
The two men one in his late teens and the other in his 20s along with a female in her early 40s were taken to Blanchardstown Garda station where they are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
