Fatal stabbing incident in Dublin on the 23/9/13

Gardai at the Bridewell are investigating the circumstances of a fatal stabbing incident at Ormond Square, Dublin 7.

A 51-year-old male was discovered at house on Ormond Sq. at approximately 2.30 p.m. this afternoon (23/9/2013). The male had sustained a number of stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by Emergency Services but died a short time later.

The scene is preserved for a technical and forensic examination and the State Pathologist has been notified.

The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.
