Gardaí at Blackrock, Dublin, are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on Friday 27th September 2013 at approximately 9.15pm on the N11 dual carriageway at Stillorgan, close to the junction with Kilmacud road. A pedestrian, female, 16 years, was fatally injured when she was struck by a car while attempting to cross the road.
The deceased was pronounced dead at scene and her body was removed to St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. A full post mortem is to take place today, Saturday 28th September 2013.
The southbound carriageway at the scene on N11 was closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. This section of road has now reopened.
