Gardai in Cahirciveen are investigating a fatal road traffic collision between a truck and a car at Cloon on the Cahirciveen to Ballinskelligs Road that occurred at approximately 12.25pm this afternoon (30.09.13).
A male and a female in their 20’s were fatally injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a lorry. They were the sole occupants of the car. They were both pronounced dead at the scene and their bodys removed to Kerry General Hospital, Tralee. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
