As part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation carried out by the Garda National Drugs Unit with the assistance of the Drogheda Drugs Unit, Gardai searched a yard in Termonfeckin, Co. Louth yesterday afternoon (Friday 20th September).
During the course of the search cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €1,320,000 (pending analysis) was recovered. Two men (40 and 59) were arrested at the scene and detained under the provisions of 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Drogheda Garda Station.
The two men are scheduled to appear at Court Number 2, the Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin at 4.30pm today charged in connection with the seizure.
