Drug seizure and arrest in Tarelton, Cork on the 18/9/13

Gardai from the West Cork Drug Unit assisted by Gardai from Macroom searched a house at Ron Na Killa, Tarelton, Co Cork on the 18th September 2013.

During the course of the search Gardai discovered 600 cannabis plants with an approximate street value of €480,000 (subject analysis).  A male (31yrs) was arrested at the house and conveyed to Bandon Garda station where he is being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
 

There was a sophisticated cultivation system in operation. The scene remains sealed off for a Technical examination.
