Witness appeal - Cash-in-transit robbery Dublin 9th October 2013

Gardai in Blanchardsown are appealing for information following a cash-in-transit robbery at the Little Pace, Dublin 15, on the 9th October 2013.

At approximately 10.10 a.m. a lone male armed with a hand gun approached and threatened a cash-in-transit employee at an ATM facility at Little Pace Shopping Centre. The male fled the scene with a cash box containing an undisclosed sum of money in a wine coloured Toyota Avensis, registration 99-D-42649. The car, which is believed to have travelled in the direction of Clonee and Dunboyne, was later found set alight on the Summerhill road near Dunboyne.
 
There was no shots fired and no one injured during the robbery.
 

Investigating Gardai are appealing for witnesses and in particular any sightings of the car before and after the robbery. They are also appealing for information on the raider who is described as approximately 5ft 8” in height and of thin build. He was wearing a blue hooded top and black bottoms with a scarf and hood covering his face and head.
