Update, searches Co. Limerick

Gardaí in Limerick have this afternoon recovered the body of a female while carrying out searches along the River Shannon.

The body was recovered at Brown's Quay in the Thomondgate area of Co. Limerick and has been removed to Limerick University Hospital.

The body has yet to be identified. The local coroner has been notified.
