As part of an intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin South Central area Gardai have seized drugs and arrested three males.
At approximately 6.30pm yesterday evening Gardai from the South Central Crime Task Force stopped and searched three males in their 30’s on Crumlin Road, Dublin 12. A quantity of heroin (pending analysis) was seized and the three arrested.
In a follow up search at approximately 8pm yesterday evening at an apartment in West Part, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin. A large quantity of heroin was discovered along with various drug paraphernalia including a hydraulic press, bagging materials and scales. In total, heroin with an estimated street value of up to €650,000 (pending analysis) was seized.
Three males are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Irishtown, Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda Stations.
