Gardai in Carrickmacross are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N2 / Carrickmacross Junction, south of Carrickmacross, this morning at approximately 7am.
A male in his mid 20’s was fatally injured when the car he was driving (sole occupant) was in collision with a second vehicle. The two occupants of the second vehicle were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with injuries described as non life threatening.
The scene is currently being examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
