Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle traffic collision in Castlepollard Co. Westmeath.
The collision occurred on the R195 near Castlepollard shortly after 3 a.m. this morning (10th November 2013). A male aged in his 20s was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a ditch. He was taken by ambulance to Mullingar Hospital where his condition is believed to be serious.
The road is closed to traffic and diversions are in place. Forensic collision investigators have been notified to attend the scene.
