Firearm seized & man arrested at Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick on the 25/11/13

Gardai at Roxboro Road Garda Station have arrested a man and seized a firearm following a planned search at a house in the city.

The search took place at Clarina Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston at approx 8pm on the 24th November 2013.


The search involved Gardai from the Divisional Drug Unit, the Dog Unit and Gardai from Roxboro Road. The firearm is currently being technically examined.


The man is currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Sect 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
