A man injured in the assault that took place on Main Street Swords on the 10th October 2013 has died in Beaumont Hospital today, the 13th November 2013.
He is a Nigerian national, Taiwo Jamani, aged 45 years. A post mortem took place today carried out by the Deputy State pathologist Dr Curtis.
A 37 year old man, Jooda Akanbi with an address in Swords, is currently before the courts in relation to assaulting Mr Jamani.
Gardaí are renewing their appeal for any persons who were in the vicinity and may have witnessed the incident which took place at approximately 12.20 on 10th October on Main Street Swords or may have recorded any images on mobile phones or cameras and have not already made contact with us to contact the incident room in Swords at 01 6664700.
