Gardai in Salthill are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ros A Mhil, Galway at approximately 21.45hrs last night the 1st May, 2013.
A female pedestrian, 15 years was fatally injured when she was out walking with a friend and a car collided with her. She was removed to University College Hospital, Galway where she was pronounced dead late last night. The other male pedestrian and male driver of the car were uninjured.
The road remains closed as an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators is taking place this morning. Local diversions are in place.
