Gardai in Store Street have arrested a man and women (both in their 20s) in relation to a drugs seizure yesterday afternoon', the 13th May 2013 in the Dublin City area.
A man was arrested on Gardiner Street Lower at approximately 4pm and brought to Store Street Garda Station. Cocaine with an estimated street value of approximatley €70,000 (pending analysis) was discovered in his personal belongings.
As part of a following up search, Gardai from the DMR North Central Region, assisted by Gardai from the Divisional Drug Unit and the District Crime Task Force searched an apartment in Christchurch, Dublin 8. A large amount of cannabis herb, with an estimated street value of approximatley €20,000 (pending analysis) was discovered in the apartment.' A woman in her early 20s was arrested at the scene.
Both the man and woman are detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
