Gardaí investigating a fatal shooting at Gormanston, Co. Meath on the 6th March 2013 have released one man from custody. The man in his 30s was released this afternoon 8th March and a file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Four other men remain in custody.
Shortly after 2p.m. on 6th March, a man aged in his 30s was shot a number of times. The assailants fled the scene in a car which was intercepted by Gardaí on the Balscadden Road a short time later.
Four men were arrested. A firearm (handgun) was recovered and the car was seized. A fifth man was arrested near to the scene a short time later.
