Gardai in Ballymote are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred just off the R284 (Ballyfarnan to Sligo Rd about 5 miles from Riverstown), at Roughan, Sooey at approximately 11.40pm on the 2nd March 2013.
The driver (22yrs) of the vehicle and front seat passenger (20yrs) were prounced dead at the scene. The rear seat passenger (21yrs) sustained serious injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. The deceased males were removed to the morgue at Sligo General hospital. The third passenger is in a stable condition in Sligo General hospital.
The road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
