Gardaí at Swinford are investigating an Aggravated burglary at a house in Charlestown, Co Mayo which occurred at approximately 11.15pm on Friday, the 1st March 2013.
Two masked men entered the house through the front door, both were believed to be armed with knives. They asked the only occupant of the house (female) the whereabouts of her partner.
The female occupant was assaulted a number of times (injuries not serious)
The raiders then left the house. No mode of transport used is known at this stage.
No property was stolen.
Description of men.
1.) Male, 6’ wearing a red/ green jacket. He was armed with a knife.
2.) Male, dark tracksuit. No better description.
