Operation Slowdown Update as of 7am 1.06.13

Gardaí and GoSafe are continuing to carry out checkpoints nationwide under Operation Slowdown.

During the 24 hours of Operation Slowdown from 07.00 Friday to 07.00 Saturday, GoSafe checked the speed of 53,469 vehicles, of these 321 were detected travelling in excess of the speed limit.

 

We would like to thank those motorists who continue to travel within the speed limits.
 
We would once again urge everyone travelling on the roads this Bank Holiday weekend to travel safely.
