Drug seizure and arrests in Co. Galway on the 18/6/13

Gardai have seized herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €400,000 (pending analysis) and arrested 2 males during an operation in Co. Galway earlier today (18/6/2013).

The seizure was made as part of an investigation involving members of the Garda National Drugs Unit, Revenue Customs Service, Galway and Mayo Divisional Drugs Unit during a search at a house in the Tuam area.


Two men age in their 40's were arrested and are currently detained at Galway Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. (They can be held for up to 7 days)


The investigation is ongoing.
