Gardai investigating the discovery of the bodies of two males, 68 and 70 years of age, at their home at New Antrim Street wish to appeal to the public for their assistance.
The scene is being technically examined by the Garda Technical Bureau. The State Pathologist has arrived at the scene and is currently conducting a preliminary examination.
This is a busy area with many local businesses. Gardai wish to appeal to anyone who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious in or around the New Antrim Street, Tucker Street and Linenhall Street area between 9pm last night and 7am this morning. In addition anyone who may have seen, spoken to or engaged with the deceased during this period are also asked to contact the Gardai.

Gardai in Castlebar are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of the bodies of two males in their late 60’s at a house on New Antrim Street, Castlebar, this morning at approximately 7am.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination. The services of the State Pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau have been requested.
