Gardai at Gurranabraher are investigating the circumstances of a shooting incident which occurred in the Fairhill area of Cork City on the 19th July 2013.
At approximately 2330 hours a 20-year-old male was injured during a shooting incident at Fairfield, Fairhill. He was taken by Ambulance to Cork University Hospital. (His injuries are not thought to be life threatening)
The scene is preserved pending a forensic and technical examination which is expected to be carried out this morning.
Investigating Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
