Gardaí have arrested two men and seized a quantity of drugs following an operation in Co. Tipperary on 26th July 2013.
On the afternoon of the 26th Gardaí from Tipperary and Limerick Drug Units searched a house at Ballywire, Kilross, Co. Tipperary. During the course of the search they discovered 20kg of cannabis herb and 1kg of cocaine. Subject to analysis the drugs have a street value in excess of €470,000.
Two men in their 30s were arrested at the scene and taken to Tipperary Garda Station where they are detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1896. The men can be detained for up to seven days.
