Gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s and seized a quantity of drugs in an operation at Ballylane East, New Ross, Co. Wexford this afternoon, the 16th July 2013.
Shortly after 1.00pm Gardaí, searching a premise on foot of a warrant, discovered cannabis growing in bedroom and a further quantity growing in a green house at the rear. The plants have an estimated street value (subject to analysis) of €24,000.
A 26 year old local man was arrested at the scene and taken to New Ross Garda Station where he is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. He can be detained for up to seven days.
