Drug seizure and arrest in Mallow, Cork on the 8/7/13

On Monday, the 8th July, 2013 at approximately 4.30p.m. as a result of a joint intelligence led investigation between the Garda National Drugs Unit and Revenue's Customs Service assisted by the Mallow District Drugs Unit,

a 54 year old man was arrested at Castlemccarthy, Churchtown in possession of .5kg of cocaine, a controlled drug (subject to analysis), with a estimated street value of €17,500.


He was detained at Mallow Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He was later released and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
