Traffic cleared - Collision on O'Connell Street/Abbey Street on the 9/1/13

The road traffic collision has now been cleared on O'Connell Street and the road has re-opened in both directions.

Five people have been taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries(including the Luas driver) no further details at this stage.

There is a road traffic collision involving the Luas and a car at the junction of O'Connell Street/Abbey Street (10.05am on the 9th Jan 2013).

Gardaí and Emergency Services are at the scene. 
 

O'Connell Street is currently closed in both directions.  Diversions are being put in place.
