Man arrested in relation to aggravated burglary in Buncrana on the 5/1/13

Gardai in Buncrana investigating a robbery on the 5th January 2013 arrested a male (48yrs) in Burt, Co Donegal yesterday evening the 8th January 2013.

He is being detained at Buncrana Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

 
Shortly after midnight on the the 5th January 2013 a male entered a house in Ardarvan, Buncrana, Co Donegal he threatened and assaulted the occupant of the house a lady in her mid 90's and demanded cash.  He left the scene with a sum of cash.  The injured party was taken to Letterkenny hospital for treatment.
