Gardai in Thomastown are investigating a three vehicle collision on the N10, Co. Kilkenny on the 17th January 2013.
The collision occurred at Rathclough, Danefort, Co Kilkenny at approximately 8.45am involving three vehicles on the Kilkenny to Waterford Road N10 (approx 6 miles outside Kilkenny).
Two people in one car received minor injuries and were treated at scene. There were two males (19 to early 20's) in the 2nd car, the driver was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene he was removed to Ardkeen General Hospital. The passenger received minor injuries and was taken to St Luke's hospital in Kilkenny. The male driver in the 3rd car was taken to Ardkeen General Hospital in Waterford he is described as serious but stable.
The road is currently closed for a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
