Fatal road traffic collision in Finglas, Dublin on the 9/1/13

Gardai at Finglas are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the North Road, Finglas, this morning.

At approximately 11.20am a female pedestrian aged in her 70's was seriously injured when she was struck by a car.  She was taken by Ambulance to the Mater Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.  The driver of the car was uninjured.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out by forensic collision investigators.
