Drugs seizure and arrest in Ballybeg Great, Wexford on the 24/1/13

As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of supply of controlled drugs Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit attached to Wexford searched a house at Ballybeg Great, Screen, Co Wexford this afternoon (24/1/13).

During the course of this search cannabis plants in various stages of maturity were seized. The plants have an estimated street value of €250,000 (subject to analysis) 
 

A 42 year old man was arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained at Enniscorthy Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 
 

Investigations are continuing.
