Court appearance - Armed Robbery in Lusk, Dublin on the 19/1/13 - 3 Arrests

The two men who were detained at Raheny and Clontarf Garda Station in relation to a robbery in Lusk on the 19th January, 2013 are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30am this morning charged in relation to this robbery.

The third man was brought to Bridewell District Court yesterday evening 21st January, 2013 also charged in relation to this robbery.

Gardai in Lusk arrested three males as part of an investigation into an armed robbery at premises in Lusk Village, Co. Dublin last night at 10 p.m. Saturday 19th January 2013.

At approximately 10.05p.m. three males wearing balaclavas entered a retail premises in Lusk Village armed with what appeared to be a firearm. They threatened staff before leaving the shop with a large quantity of cash.


The three men were apprehended and arrested by detectives from Balbriggan garda station just as they were leaving the premises. Two firearms were recovered, along with all of the property taken. A motor car was also seized at the scene.


The men, who are aged mid 20's to late 40's, are currently detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Swords, Raheny and Clontarf Garda Station.


No customers or staff were injured during the raid, and the matter is under investigation.
