Burglary and arrest in Co Donegal on the 18/1/13

Gardaí at Milford, Co Donegal are investigating an burglary which occurred at approximately 3.45am this morning (18/1/13) at Kilmacrennan, Co Donegal.

A male entered the home of a 69 year old female who was alone in the house at the time.  He forced his way into her bedroom threatened her and demanded cash.  The raider fled the scene empty-handed.
 

No injuries sustained.
 

A 24 year old man was arrested a short time later in connection with this incident and is currently detained at Letterkenny Garda Station under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984.
 

Investigations are continuing.
