Following a planned search of an area at Trooperstown Wood, Rathdrum Co Wicklow Gardaí discovered the body of a male at approximately 10.55 this morning (25/1/13)
The area was immediately sealed off for a full Garda technical examination.
The office of the State Pathologist was notified. The deputy State Pathologist Dr. Khalid Jabbar attended the scene and carried out a preliminary examination. The body has now been removed to St. Columcilles’ Hospital, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin where a full post mortem examination will be carried out.
A Garda liaison member has fully briefed the O’Toole family.
Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to this investigation particularly to any person who may have seen anything suspicious involving persons or vehicles between the 7th January 2013 and today 25th January 2013 at Trooperstown Wood, Rathdrum to please contact the incident room at Bray Garda Station on 01- 666 5300, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

Body found in woodland near Rathdrum Co Wicklow 25th Jan 2013
Gardai in Wicklow have discovered a body in woodlands at Trooperstown Wood, Rathdrum Co Wicklow at 10.55am this morning the 25th Jan 2013. The body remains at the scene. The area has been sealed off for a technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
