Man arrested in connection with the murder of Brian Fitzgerald on the 29th November 2002

Gardai in Henry Street investigating the murder of Brian Fitzgerald in Limerick on the 29th November 2002 have arrested a male in his mid 30's.

The male was arrested this morning, the 14th Feb 2013 in Limerick city and is being detained in Henry St Garda station under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.

Brian Fitzgerald was shot a number of times close to his house at Brookhaven Walk, Mill Road, Corbally Limerick on the 29th November 2002 at approximately 3.50am. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Three males have been convicted in relation to the shooting.
