Gardai in Dungarvan are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N72, Lismore to Cappoquin Road, outside Lismore at approximately 8.45am on the 20/2/13.
A male in his 50’s was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a wall. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Waterford Regional Hospital. He was the sole occupant and no other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since reopened.
