As part of a planned operation Gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped a male in his 50’s at Heuston Station yesterday evening.
He was found to have cocaine with an estimated street value of up to €140,000 (pending analysis). He was detained at Kevin Street Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. In a follow up search in the Limerick area yesterday evening cocaine and cannabis herb with an estimate street value of up to €70,000 (pending analysis) were discovered.
The male is due to appear at Crimal Courts Of Justice No 2 this evening in relation to the incident.
